As the matriarch of a large family, Elizabeth's house on Delason Avenue in Youngstown became the primary gathering place for aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. One does not remember the crowded rooms, just the warmth, laughter, and banter of people who had grown up together.

She spoke with a scottish burr, had a strong sense of right and wrong, and was quick to smile.
